However, since she is a writer only in the conceptual sense, I have undertaken to fill these pages on her behalf.

Missing Tootsie

Dustin Hoffman appeared on Parkinson this week and Tootsie was on the agenda. He said that he wanted his Tootsie to be beautiful but was overruled by the director, Sydney Pollack.

Mrs Monk asked me what I had done with her Tootsie. She was referring to the promotional cut-out that she acquired when the movie was released.

“It’s in the attic,” I said, so she would stop asking me about it, but in fact I haven’t seen it since we moved to this house some ten years ago.

Mrs Monk now claims that our Tootsie is worth £5000,

“You’ve got to be kidding?”, I said.

If anyone out there has got our Tootsie, we’d like her/him back.
